It's been there, I've just been silly :)
Listen, I was an avid reader growing up, and I would often get books as presents, which I LOVED and still do. I love the idea of my own library at home or having lots of shelves to display all the books I've read. It's just cool. And it feels so good to see all the things you've accomplished!
But currently, gas is like 6 thousand dollars a gallon (I like to exaggerate for affect) and our grocery bill has at least doubled (that's literal). And some of my family mentioned how they had been taking advantage of their local library. They actually said, "I mean our tax dollars go there, so might as well take advantage of it since we already pay for it" and I was like, OMG it's like I'm paying for books twice when I buy them on my own and also pay taxes towards the library!
*That tax money just really fires me up in adulthood, lol
So in an effort to save some money these days, I have started taking advantage of the library and now I'm hooked and I just needed to remind you to use your library too.
I do have some books that I want to keep, but when I'm honest with myself, there's very few that I want to keep and often it's educational books that I like to refer back to. The others I don't really ever touch again except to move to a new shelf, lol. So the 2% of books I read that I want to keep, I ask as those for presents. The rest I have been getting at the library and in the last 3 months I've been doing that, I've saved $150 already (the library tracks it for me)! Pretty cool, huh?
I've also checked out audio books to listen on CDs during long road trips AND they have had movies (some intense....iykyk.....documentaries that are hard to find) that I would have had to pay like $40 on Amazon to buy.
Basically I'm shocked at how cool the library is and I hope it blesses you and saves you money!
You can find my list of books read and ratings on the Goodreads app here! I read lots of health related books, but I also love fictions books.
